Our mission is to organize, engage, and center the voices of directly impacted people of diverse beliefs. We build with faith and community leaders on the issues of climate, racial, economic, and environmental justice and health equity. We use public and popular education, leadership training and development, direct action, and advocacy to create long-term sustainable change.
AND we believe this new world is not only possible, but necessary.
Climate and environmental justice
We understand that systems of discrimination overlap with each other and intersect with environmental harm and climate impact. We work to dismantle all forms of oppression, including but not limited to racism, sexism, classism, ableism, transphobia, homophobia, xenophobia, colonialism, and predatory economic and political systems.
We value a world where all people have access to equitable healthcare, food security, clean water, and renewable energy.
We believe the people at the center of this work are directly-impacted communities. We value sharing stories of lived experiences of the past and present, honoring our ancestors, healing individual and collective traumas to shift the narrative for a more just future.
We honor and draw upon the wisdom of our diverse spiritual
backgrounds and belief systems in our effort to care for the Earth.
We believe that all people have the capacity to grow, heal, and flourish. To make a more just world requires that we continuously attend to our own individual transformation, listening, learning, and reflecting on how the
threats to our climate impact all aspects of our lives.
We believe that our movements and social systems must be relational. Only by educating one another and acting together can we create long term sustainable change and justice for all.
