Who Are We
We are a statewide organization who fights for climate, racial, economic, and environmental justice at the intersection of our faith.
We are an affiliate of Interfaith Power and Light.
Our Mission
Our mission is to organize, engage, and center the voices of directly impacted people of diverse beliefs. We build with faith and community leaders on the issues of climate, racial, economic, and environmental justice and health equity. We use public and popular education, leadership training and development, direct action, and advocacy to create long-term sustainable change.
Our Vision
We envision a world where people of all or no faith traditions come together to collaboratively steward the Earth.
We envision a world where we power a rapid societal shift toward clean, renewable, and equitable energy sources for all.
We envision a world where people are empowered to take action against injustice and to heal from the traumas created by unjust systems.
We envision a world where people are liberated from all forms of oppression and have the ability to live a healthy and flourishing life.
AND we believe this new world is not only possible, but necessary.
Our Values
Climate and environmental justice
We understand that systems of discrimination overlap with each other and intersect with environmental harm and climate impact. We work to dismantle all forms of oppression, including but not limited to racism, sexism, classism, ableism, transphobia, homophobia, xenophobia, colonialism, and predatory economic and political systems.
Equity
We value a world where all people have access to equitable healthcare, food security, clean water, and renewable energy.
Honoring experiences
We believe the people at the center of this work are directly-impacted communities. We value sharing stories of lived experiences of the past and present, honoring our ancestors, healing individual and collective traumas to shift the narrative for a more just future.
Earth stewardship
We honor and draw upon the wisdom of our diverse spiritual
backgrounds and belief systems in our effort to care for the Earth.
Inner transformation
We believe that all people have the capacity to grow, heal, and flourish. To make a more just world requires that we continuously attend to our own individual transformation, listening, learning, and reflecting on how the
threats to our climate impact all aspects of our lives.
Collective action
We believe that our movements and social systems must be relational. Only by educating one another and acting together can we create long term sustainable change and justice for all.
